Deine Rolle im Team
- Develop and maintain the EuXFEL data acquisition system in an agile environment
- Ensure and contribute to code quality by providing unit- and integration tests
- Be the first point of contact for data acquisition software requirements and enhancements in the facility
- Be the anchor point for the technical integration of scientific algorithms for data reduction in the data acquisition system
- Collect requirements, and, within the development team, fill the product owner role for the data acquisition system
- Support the operational responsibilities (Data Operation Center, On Call) of the Data Department
Unsere Erwartungen an dich
Ausbildung
- Master or higher education in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study (e.g. Engineering, Physics or Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience
Qualifikationen
- Very good knowledge of modern C++ and Python development & software design is required
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming libraries, e.g. boost::asio (C++) or asyncio (Python), is desirable
- Familiarity with CI infrastructures (Gitlab) and Docker is an asset
- Previous responsibility for a major software product is considered an asset
- Good command of English as a working language is a must
Erfahrung
- Experience in concepts and technologies such as RDMA, MPI, HPC, TCP and/or ZMQ is desirable
- Experience to work in a scientific environment is considered an asset
