Ausbildung

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related discipline.

Qualifikationen

• Strong programming skills in C.
• Understanding of software architecture, modular design and well-defined interfaces.
• An interest in developing and maintaining a reusable software product over multiple releases.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Modelling and code-generation tools used for embedded software.
• First-hand knowledge of Rust and its integration in embedded C applications.
• Verification of consistency between requirements, models, generated code and tests.
• Product-line engineering, software platforms or configurable software products.
• API design, compatibility management and controlled software evolution.
• RTEMS, VxWorks, Embedded Linux or another real-time operating system.
• LEON, ARM (Zynq/Versal), RISC-V or comparable embedded processor platforms.
• Multicore systems, concurrency and deterministic scheduling.
• Static analysis, code-coverage analysis and requirements-based testing.
• ECSS, DO-178 or another regulated software-development environment.
• Spacecraft avionics and on-board communication technologies.
• Knowledge of German.

Erfahrung

• Several years of experience in embedded or real-time software development, with a good understanding of resource-constrained systems and hardware/software interaction.
• Experience with model-based software design or a strong interest in developing this expertise.
• Experience with automated testing, debugging and software integration.
• Experience in some of the following areas would be helpful, but we do not expect you to bring all of them:
