Deine Rolle im Team
- Join our Checkout & Payment team and actively shape the technological foundation of this core component of our eCommerce system.
- As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the stable, scalable, and secure operation of our PHP-based applications on AWS and continuously develop our cloud and infrastructure standards.
- Optimize checkout systems: You will develop and improve our checkout process - from customer registration and payment processing to order management.
- PHP on AWS: You will operate and deploy PHP applications on AWS, ensuring scalability and high availability that meet our e-commerce requirements.
- Maintain highly available systems: In collaboration with our Service Enablement team, you will implement and optimise mechanisms for asynchronous processing, including retry and failover strategies.
- You will also ensure system observability and monitoring using services such as Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
- Security & performance: You constantly challenge the status quo, optimise system performance, and address bugs and security vulnerabilities.
- Agile work: You work with agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as GitHub, Slack, and Confluence to ensure efficient and transparent collaboration.
- Quality & open source: You independently test your software (unit/functional/E2E), conduct code reviews, and support the open source community with your expertise.
- Your contributions improve the quality and reliability of the Shopware Core and services.

Qualifikationen
- You have a deep understanding of asynchronous architectures and have worked with queues and workers.
- You are familiar with non-relational databases such as DynamoDB and know how to effectively integrate them into scalable systems.
- You enjoy working in agile, cross-functional teams and can clearly and effectively communicate your expertise.
- Comfortable communication in English is natural for you, and you thrive in an international, "English First" environment.
Erfahrung
- You have solid professional experience with PHP, ideally within the Symfony ecosystem, and are motivated to help shape the architecture of PHP applications.
- You have experience developing and operating PHP applications on AWS and are familiar with services such as EC2 and S3.
- You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines and use these technologies to optimize infrastructure and software delivery.
- Ideally, you have experience with payment processing and security standards such as PCI-DSS.
