Deine Rolle im Team
- Take operational problems from concept to production, working across our React/TypeScript frontend and Go backend services.
- Own modern interface security. Upfront is where external users act on real end-user data, so you will tackle per-client isolated environments, least-privilege access, and Auth0 integrations in a regulated space.
- Expand the operational surface across Upvest's internal domains and develop a deep understanding of how our core systems piece together.
- Help define how software delivery works in an AI-enabled company by pushing AI tooling to its limits to maximize quality and speed while staying compliant.
- Build agentic operations as we move toward exposing Upfront over MCP. Every action requires a strict audit trail, so you will solve real design problems around what an agent can do autonomously versus what requires human intervention.
- Work in weekly cycles with bi-weekly retrospectives to prioritize high-quality, high-frequency shipping.

Qualifikationen
- A strong product engineering mindset where you care about the 'why' just as much as the 'how' and proactively bring ideas to the table.
- Deep knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- A strong focus on quality, extensibility, and automated testing.
- True end-to-end ownership across containers, CI/CD pipelines, and relational data modeling.
- A working understanding of event-driven architectures.
- A pragmatic approach to engineering and the ability to make smart tradeoffs under constraints.
- The ability to navigate undefined problems and align other teams without needing formal authority.
Erfahrung
- Solid backend experience in Go, Java, or Kotlin (we build in Go but will give you time to ramp up).
- Practical experience building modern client-facing interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Experience building products that require per-customer configuration without devolving into a custom fork per client.
- Real-world experience using AI tools to drive software engineering workflows, not only writing code snippets.
