Deine Rolle im Team
- As a Software Engineer at our Rostock location, you will develop innovative software solutions for the next generation of autonomous systems.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will tackle complex technical challenges and contribute throughout the entire development lifecycle-from concept and implementation to the continuous improvement of our technologies.
- At Quantum Systems, we develop intelligent, connected systems across the air, land, sea, and underwater domains, delivering solutions that support demanding civilian and defense applications worldwide.
- Deploy, configure and maintain Linux-based systems on robotic platforms and ground control stations.
- Design, implement and troubleshoot network and communication architectures for field deployments and operational environments.
- Build and maintain secure connectivity solutions between distributed systems and remote assets.
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot wired, wireless and satellite communication links.
- Manage routing, firewalling, VPNs and network services across complex system environments.
- Build, deploy and maintain containerized applications and supporting infrastructure.
- Support software deployment pipelines, automation and infrastructure management.
- Monitor system performance, network health and service availability.
- Work closely with robotics, software and hardware teams to integrate and operate complete system solutions.
- Prepare, maintain and support robotic platforms during testing, demonstrations and customer deployments.
- Troubleshoot issues across software, networking, communications and hardware components.
- Contribute to technical documentation, deployment procedures and operational best practices.

Qualifikationen
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, NAT and network services.
- Understanding of infrastructure automation and CI/CD principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across software, hardware and networking domains.
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to work directly on systems in laboratory and field environments.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and mission-critical situations.
- Strong communication skills and fluent English.
Erfahrung
- Experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or a similar role.
- Experience with Embedded Linux platforms, autonomous systems, robotics hardware or edge computing devices.
- Experience deploying and operating distributed or remote systems.
- Practical experience with containerization technologies and modern deployment workflows.
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting communication systems and networked devices.
