Deine Rolle im Team
- As an IT Solution Leader, you will drive the digital and IT agenda for IT Business Applications (at Eurofins called IT Solutions) across the Clinical Diagnostics business line in Germany. Shaping how technology supports long-term business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation. This high-impact international leadership role requires a strong business mindset, the ability to interact with senior stakeholders, and a pragmatic understanding of how technology creates value.
- In this role you and your team are the first point of contact for the business for any kind of issue or demand for IT Solutions in Clinical Diagnostics Germany. And you will be the interface to the Group IT Solutions, which deliver your business main IT services like LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), CRM, Finance & Accounting etc.
- You will need to arbitrate and understand together with Group IT Solution, which IT Application you keep regional (e.g. for integrating with local healthcare providers) and which will be provided by Group IT Solution. Identifying and agreeing on the IT requirements is an important part of this arbitration process.
- In your daily business you will support & operate the regional IT Solutions. You will regular monitor the cost and yearly budget for next year's cost.
- Your IT Application will run on-premise and in cloud. You will have to evaluate, what is the best fit and in which case, which IT Application runs best in cloud or on-premise.
- Define and communicate the IT vision and roadmap aligned with regional and global business & IT strategy.
- Facilitate an efficient IT application landscape using group IT Solutions and regional IT Solutions to stimulate growth targets and increase profitability.
- Act as a strategic liaison between regional business units and Group IT, ensuring mutual understanding, alignment, and the smooth adoption of centralized solutions.
- Maintain an outward looking approach, proactively scout emerging technologies and assess digital trends to continuously modernize Clinical Diagnostics' IT landscape.
- Actively benchmark with other Eurofins business lines to leverage best practices, avoid duplication, and accelerate IT maturity across Clinical Diagnostics.
- Lead the regional IT Solution organization, including development, delivery, and its support & operations.
- Improve alignment and maturity across local businesses by developing a regional coordination model, ensuring that key roles are embedded in the broader IT strategy and delivery ecosystem.
- Oversee major transformation programs including lab automation, lab IT standardisation, ensuring value realization and stakeholder engagement.
- Govern IT investments, ensuring the portfolio delivers ROI and mitigates risk.
- Own the regional IT budget: define, control, and optimize costs while ensuring value for money and supporting key business priorities.
- Ensure strong collaboration with global IT, Group governance, and external technology partners.
- Ensure that local IT solutions are phased out in favour of standardized Group IT Solutions.
- Promote reuse and integration over custom development.
- Define the annual budget for the regional IT Solutions and the cost for integrating the Group-IT-Solutions
- Monitor cost compliance during the year and react on any budget deviation
- Cost types include personnel cost, license cost, IT Infrastructure cost for IT Solutions etc.
- Foster a culture of joint ownership between IT and the business. Ensure that solutions are fully embedded, adopted, and deliver business value across all levels.
- Champion change management, digital literacy, and innovation across the business.
- Foster a high-performance IT culture through talent development, coaching, and cross-functional leadership.
- Ensure in your team accountabilities and responsibilities are clear and communicate to all stakeholders.
Unsere Erwartungen an dich
Ausbildung
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, or a related field.
Qualifikationen
- Solid understanding of enterprise systems (e.g., LIMS, CRM, accounting systems), but more importantly, the business value they enable.
- The role requires proficiency in English.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to define long-term vision and translate it into actionable plans.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of how IT creates business value in a non-tech environment.
- Project management: Delivered multiple IT projects successfully in your past
- Communication: Excellent communication and storytelling skills across all organizational levels.
Erfahrung
- Proven experience (10+ years) in IT leadership roles within a non-tech company.
- Proven experience as IT project manager and used Prince, PMI or similar multiple times in your projects.
- Cross-functional leadership experience, ideally in regulated or process-heavy industries.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven experience leading diverse teams and influencing executive stakeholders.
- Cloud Competency: Experience in cloud transformation and running IT Applications in Azure or AWS in an enterprise scaled setup
- Change Leadership: Experienced in leading business transformation and digital change programs.
