Job Zusammenfassung
In dieser Position führst du eigenständige Forschungsprojekte zur praktischen Cybersicherheit durch, lehrst in Bachelor- und Masterprogrammen und begleitest Abschlussarbeiten und Forschungsvorhaben.
Deine Rolle im Team
- Conducting independent research in the area of practical cyber security, e.g. in software security, low-level security, network and system security, and security of AI/ML systems.
- Teaching in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Computer Science, Business Informatics, and Information Systems Engineering.
- Supervising Bachelor's and Master's theses and supporting junior researchers.
- Applying for and conducting externally funded research projects.
- Active participation in academic self-governance at university and faculty level.

Ausbildung
- Experience in university teaching and/or supervision of junior researchers.
Qualifikationen
- Outstanding scientific qualification in the field of practical cyber security, evidenced by publications at leading international venues.
- In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas: software security, low-level security, network and system security, or security of AI/ML systems.
- Completed doctorate (PhD) in computer science or a closely related field.
- Willingness to teach in both German and English.
- Readiness for interdisciplinary collaboration within the faculty and with other institutes.
- Commitment to diversity and equality.
- Commitment to academic self-governance.
Erfahrung
- Initial experience in applying for or conducting externally funded projects (e.g., DFG, BMBFTR, EU).
- International research experience, e.g., through research stays abroad.
- Initial experience in technology transfer and industry collaboration.
Unser Angebot
- German language skills are not a prerequisite. However, the successful candidate is expected to acquire sufficient language skills to perform teaching and administrative duties in German within one year of appointment.
- Even though this is a full-time position, a part-time appointment may be possible upon request.
- The employment is initially for a period of three years in a temporary civil servant relationship, provided that the general service law requirements are fulfilled.
- In the event of a successful interim evaluation in accordance with § 30 Para. 4 S. 2 NHG, the professorship will be extended by a further three years.
