- Shape the Future of FinTech: Work in an agile, cross-functional team to develop scalable and secure financial solutions.
- Identify and address architectural limitations, make pragmatic trade-offs, and help evolve systems toward scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Build solutions that are secure, scalable, extensible, and cost-efficient while maintaining high coding and documentation standards.
- Break down complex initiatives into manageable workstreams and deliver incremental value through iterative development.
- Contribute to our service-oriented architecture and help build reliable, event-driven services using Kafka.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence by sharing knowledge, improving team practices, and promoting high standards for software development.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, actively contribute to design reviews, and address root causes of recurring technical challenges.
- Take responsibility for challenging projects and guide team members through technical mentoring and hands-on support.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term system sustainability and continuously look for opportunities to improve technology, processes, and team effectiveness.
- Gain deep insights into non-technical, business-related processes within a leading FinTech company and help shape solutions that drive real impact.
- Work remotely from anywhere in Germany, with only two office visits per year required.

Qualifikationen
- You enjoy solving complex problems, writing high-quality software, and contributing ideas in an agile environment.
- Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven or service-oriented architectures is a plus.
- Knowledge of PHPUnit or Cypress to ensure robust software quality.
- Proficient in Git, ensuring efficient collaboration and clean versioning practices.
- A strong focus on building solutions that deliver measurable value for users and business outcomes.
- Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus) and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.
Erfahrung
- Several years of hands-on experience with object-oriented programming (preferably PHP) and MySQL databases.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and scalability.
- Experience with New Relic or similar tools to keep services running smoothly.
- Interest in financial systems and processes; experience in FinTech development is a plus.
