- The ZEOS B2B Platform department is the core engine enabling our partners to seamlessly integrate and scale within the Zalando ecosystem.
- As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-impact team of engineers dedicated to building a high-performance, API-first environment.
- You are the bridge between technical excellence and product delivery, ensuring that our B2B solutions are not only innovative but also operationally robust and scalable.
- You will manage a team of up to 10 talented engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and psychological safety.
- At ZEOS, we don't just build services; we cultivate the infrastructure that allows the entire Zalando logistics ecosystem to thrive.
- You will work in close partnership with Product Managers and Principal Engineers to transform complex business requirements into a reliable platform, ensuring that your team is set up for success through clear delegation, career development, and a strong focus on operational health.

- Drive Technical Vision: Partner with Product Management and Principal Engineers to execute a mid-to-long-term technical roadmap, ensuring that product delivery is fast, sustainable, and aligned with the ZEOS platform strategy.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle.
- You will oversee your team's CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, ensuring that services are resilient, secure, and cost-efficient in production.
- Facilitate Smart Architecture: While you empower your team to lead, you provide the technical depth to review architectural decisions, understand trade-offs, and ensure the team avoids common pitfalls in distributed systems.
- Master Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into technical execution and ensuring transparent communication across the organization.
- Optimize Processes: Champion Agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement in development speed and code quality, ensuring the team remains adaptable in a fast-paced B2B environment.

Qualifikationen
- Technical Depth: You possess a solid background in both Frontend and Backend technologies.
- You are well-versed in the modern tech stack (Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/React) and understand the complexities of REST APIs and Microservices.
- Platform Specialist: You have a "platform mindset"-you understand how to build services that are reusable, scalable, and act as a foundation for other teams and partners.
- Operations & CI/CD Focused: You are deeply concerned with how software runs in the real world.
- You have a strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Kubernetes), automated testing, and modern deployment strategies.
- Strategic Thinker: You can translate high-level KPIs and business goals into actionable engineering tasks, maintaining a clear focus on customer impact and solution-oriented delivery.
- Excellent Communicator: You are fluent in English and excel at navigating an international, fast-paced environment, making complex technical or organizational challenges easy for others to understand.
Erfahrung
- Experienced People Leader: You bring 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams (up to 10 people), with a proven track record of developing talent and driving team engagement without falling into micromanagement.
