- As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) at auxmoney, you'll join our IT Risk & Pricing team, where we build backend systems and services that support risk decisioning, pricing, and data-driven product logic.
- The work is backend-heavy, involving complex technical problem-solving and close integration with data/analytics workflows.
- In this role, you'll design and deliver impactful features, help evolve a scalable, resilient architecture, and take end-to-end ownership from concept through production.
- You'll work closely with analysts/data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to ship high-quality solutions and continuously improve our engineering standards.

- Architecture & System Design: Identify and address architectural limitations, make pragmatic trade-offs, and help evolve systems toward scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a trusted technical expert by promoting engineering best practices, facilitating technical discussions, and helping teams align on high-quality solutions.
- Engineering Quality: Build solutions that are secure, scalable, extensible, and cost-efficient while maintaining high coding and documentation standards.
- Execution & Delivery: Break down complex initiatives into manageable workstreams and deliver incremental value through iterative development.
- Impact & Knowledge Sharing: Champion engineering excellence, share knowledge proactively, and support the professional growth of colleagues.
- Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, actively contribute to design reviews, and address root causes of recurring technical challenges.

Qualifikationen
- Event-Driven Architecture (Bonus): Familiarity with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging systems is considered a strong advantage.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Solid understanding of automated testing strategies, including unit and integration testing, with a focus on delivering reliable and high-quality software aligned with overall quality standards.
- Product-Oriented Mindset: A strong focus on building solutions that deliver measurable value for users and business outcomes.
- Team & Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.
- Security & Compliance Awareness: A proactive approach to implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.

Erfahrung
- Backend Engineering Expertise: Several years of hands-on backend development experience with preferably strong proficiency in PHP, particularly using the Symfony framework and Python.
- System & API Development: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust backend systems in production environments, including strong expertise in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- SQL Expertise: Hands-on SQL experience in application development, with strong proficiency in relational data modelling (table design, keys, and constraints) and writing complex, performant queries to support business features.
- Cloud & DevOps Practices: Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly valued.
