- The Automation Controls Manager - IC&S Engineering (Industrial Controls & SCADA) is responsible for utility scale power plant Automation Controls/Energy Management systems throughout all phases of new construction projects and Support Services operations support obligations.
- This role manages Automation Control activities and IC&S direct reports, including but not limited to automation control/energy management functions related to grid compliance/Top Level control systems, substation control systems, BESS generation control systems, PV generation control systems, Turbine generation control systems, and any hybrid control systems required for projects with multiple generation assets.
- This position interfaces heavily with the Development and Construction teams, as well as the Client and Subcontractors.
- This role will be hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days in office.

Ausbildung
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and at least 7 years' experience or at least 9 years of relevant experience in a similar position required.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position preferred.
Qualifikationen
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 5 to 15% required.
- Strong knowledge of utility scale electric power industry.
- Ability to critically evaluate designs from an economic and technical standpoint.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
- Intermediate Excel including charts, graphs, bars, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF, filtering information to provide quality data, creating macros to automate common tasks, and managing large amounts of data.
- Advanced understanding of Distributed Generation, HMIs, Logic Controllers, NERC requirements related to Automation Control/Energy Management, IEEE 2800, IEEE 1547, IEC 61131-3 (and similar programming languages), Meters, Relays, Wind Turbine Generation Control Systems, Solar Energy Generation Control Systems, Energy Storage Generation Control Systems, Substation Control Systems, Top Level/Master Plant/Grid Compliance Control Systems, Regulatory Balancing Authorities in North America, Ignition with use of Perspective, Typical control system communication protocols, PID control loops, Control Modeling, Physical electrical architecture, Interconnection agreement reviews, Contract exhibit reviews, Electrical drawing package reviews for control system integration.
- Functional competencies include drive, collaboration, continuous improvement, agility, and prioritization.
Erfahrung
- 7 or more years of proven utility or industrial experience, including work on large capital-industrial construction projects required.
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Proven experience with power and Automation Control/Energy Management, data acquisition, and telecommunications.
- Field experience in Automation Control/Energy Management power systems, testing, commissioning, and communications networking preferred.
- Experience with working collaboratively and professionally with clients, vendors, employees, directors, and supervisors.
Unser Angebot
- Anticipated base salary range: $147,000 - $184,000.
- The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
- This position is bonus eligible.
