Deine Rolle im Team
- As a Data Engineer in our Core Data Engineering team, you will build and maintain the data pipelines, models, and validations that turn raw data into trusted information for the whole company.
- Working with tools like BigQuery and Airflow, our team owns some of trivago's most critical datasets, so analysts, data scientists, and product teams can find, trust, and use data with confidence.
- Our core session-level dataset powers decisions across trivago, and it has grown into a complex system that needs rethinking.
- You will have the freedom to redesign it, challenge the status quo, and push back on requests when you can offer a better way to meet the need.
- Develop data pipelines and data aggregations, including the core session-level dataset that teams across trivago rely on every day.
- Analyze existing and new data sets to understand what data consumers need.
- Build data models that make data easy to use for teams across the company.
- Optimize large-scale data processing jobs and automate workflows with scheduling tools.
- Develop data validations that protect data quality.
- Align deliverables with project team members, proactively pick up tasks from the team's backlog, and document your work so others can build on it.

Erfahrung
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data models, ideally with Python, SQL, and a workflow scheduler such as Airflow.
- Experience building AI-powered automations that take repetitive engineering work off a team, such as triaging pipeline alerts or investigating failures.
