Deine Rolle im Team
- As a Working Student - Data Engineer at Vattenfall, you'll be part of an agile SCRUM/KANBAN team working with advanced analytics tools across various financial systems to solve complex issues, collaborating closely with Financial Controlling stakeholders.
- You will support the development and operation of modern data platforms and analytics solutions.
- You will work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to enable reliable, scalable, and transparent data solutions.
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT approaches.
- Assist in analytics and BI solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (e.g. Azure Synapse, SQL Pools, Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Data Factory).
- Contribute to product and data solution development using Python and SQL.
- Support data modelling and data warehousing activities.
- Work with version control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git).
- Collaborate in agile development teams and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical / IT specifications, proactively aligning with other developers.

Ausbildung
- Immatriculated student at a German university.
Qualifikationen
- Good programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Basic understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile ways of working.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Curious, proactive mindset with the ability to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
- Strong motivation to learn Power BI dashboard development and data visualization.
- Interest in understanding industry and financial systems, such as SAP ERP, IAM, EAM, SCADA, Profit & Loss statements, and business planning tools.
Erfahrung
- Experience or strong interest in analytics, BI, and data engineering, ideally in a cloud environment.
